We Were Never Friends by Margaret Bearman was the first book that I read that got me into my reading journey about 2 months ago. … The book is based in the city of Canberra, which I live in, it mentions a few streets, suburbs and other areas that I know.
This book is from a young teenage child’s perspective, has child abuse, some odd sexual content and a few other oddities that had me thinking WTF am I reading, but I just had to finish the book to know what happened and I wasn’t disappointed. Goes into great detail about what is going through the character’s mind.

I arrived home from work and a package from daughterofmymum with my 3 new book sleeves, they are amazing, incredible quality. … I got 3 different sizes, one which will be for my Kobo Libra 2 reader. … I will be ordering a few more for sure, lots of different ones to choose from. … I also received some cool free stickers.

My gaming laptop and switch hooked up to my new monitor which surprisingly has two HDMI inputs so I won’t need the little switch box that I purchased 🤷‍♂️ . The last system I had was a full blown desktop with an almost 3m wide desk. . Going to enjoy this smaller set-up much more, was playing Crash Bandicoot on the new screen which is 24″ curved . The operating system that I use is Linux (Mint Cinemon edge) yes I have steam installed and can play any one of the almost 400 games that I have, actually 99% of the time it runs better than it does under windows. . I am looking into a laptop stand and some nice over ear headphones, also need to tweak the cables 😁 . Going for a cosy vibe. .
